Our physiotherapists are highly trained professionals who will listen to you. We can assess and diagnose your injury and refer you onwards if indicated. Our aim is to restore your normal function and alleviate any pain.
Our Physiotherapists are trained in manual and manipulative therapy allowing us to treat you safely and effectively.
If you're dealing with an injury, we'll provide the excellent care and education you need to support, and encourage you on your rehabilitation journey. We aim to make sure that we are offering many options to prevent it occurring again.

Liam Clancy
Owner, Senior Physiotherapist & Certified Functional Movement Screen Assessor
Liam, a Senior Physiotherapist and Certified Functional Movement Screen Assessor, completed his studies at Cardiff University. He is also the co-owner of Hawera Physiotherapy Clinic, which he runs with his wife, Debbie. Liam dreams of becoming a farmer one day.

Anna Winks
Physiotherapist, Acupuncturist & Sports Therapist
Anna graduated from AUT in 2007, holding a Post-Graduate Certificate in Acupuncture and Sports Medicine. She has a strong interest in working with sports teams, an area she also engages with through her personal pursuits in netball and water sports.

Emma Wafer
Physiotherapist
Emma graduated from the University of Otago in 2014, bringing with her certifications in Advanced Dry Needling and Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. As a physiotherapist, she is particularly passionate about diagnosing patient issues and developing effective treatment solutions. Emma loves sewing and crafts.

Jamie Schrader
Pilates Instructor & Office Administrator
Jamie obtained a comprehensive mat Pilates certification in 2015 and also enjoys reformer Pilates. She has recently returned from maternity leave.

Nicola AKA Mrs Wheels has a busy life running a dairy farm and running around after 4 children.

Debbie studied at Cardiff University and is a co-owner of Hawera Physiotherapy Clinic with her husband, Liam. She has a passion for helping individuals and building strong client relationships. Debbie has a special interest in rehabilitation and acupuncture.

Zoe graduated from AUT in 2020 with a Post-Graduate Certificate in Acupuncture. As a physiotherapist, she is most passionate about helping individuals complete their rehabilitation and return to sports and other activities. Zoe loves cheese more than she loves her future husband, and he knows it.

Kyla graduated from WINTEC in 2024 and thrives on the diverse nature of her work, where no two days are the same. Kyla loves swimming.

Nikita Katene

Nikita finished her Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Sciences in 2022 and went on to complete a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Exercise Physiology in 2023. In the last two years, she’s traveled to 27 countries, picking up new experiences and a global outlook along the way.

Mirahny Beare
Receptionist
Mirahny is one of the receptionists at Hawera Physio. The clinic has played a major role in her life over the past four years following a spinal injury, and she couldn’t imagine being where she is today without them. In her spare time, she enjoys photography and spending time with her family and two dogs.
